Newbie: Abandoned House?

sylshouse profile photo

I found a property that is in pre-forclosure, when I went to see it and perhaps talk with the homeowner I found that it was empty. A neighbor said they packed up and moved about a week ago, is there anything I can do directly with the bank since the house is empty or do I have to wait for the sale?? (the sale is approx 5 months away) Any help would be greatly appreciated, this is all very new to me!!

Thank You...... smile

in Santa Clara County (bay area) there is a private indiviual that publish the NODs on a daily basis and the NTS on a weekly one.

You might shop around and see if someelse does that down there.

I did a trial subscription from First American (http://www.realquest.com). at the time they would mail you a PDF files that had the NTS and NODs.

Now I understand they have it integreated into the web site.

    good luck.

Go to your county recorders office & look up the properties you are interested in to see what liens are against the property.

Or check if there is a subscription service that propvides that infomation for a fee.

Pre-foreclosure.....liens. I pay for a subscription with the county for internet access to records that I can search from my computer. It costs me about $40. month, well worth not running to county building all the time. I am in the r e business so it does get used alot. Some things can be missed..look for a good title company that can do a title search before purchase. Hope this helps!
