Hi there. Before I look at a particular property I would like to know the comparative market value. Is there away to find out this information for my particular area through a website? smile

    Here are a few ways:

    1>For a price, you can try Dataquick.com.
2>You can also talk to realtors/brokers who can talk about the comparitive markets.
3>Grab a Local paper, not a New York Times. The real estate section shows you how much property is worth in that area.
Sometimes, it'll even tell you how much a particular home was sold for.
4>Talk with some homeowners that live in the areas of that marketplace. Look for "old timers" because they like to chat and are less likely to hide the truth about the prices paid for the homes in their neighborhoods.
