  what ever you come up with, remember you'll be writing it down a lot. My business name, New Beginning Homes of Southern Ohio LLC By Managing Member Tom Lstnme. Gets kindof crowded on the contract.

  I think that the best name is one that will not limit you. Think about large companies - target, google, yahoo, texaco, etc. Most make up a name. That way you are not pigeon holed into one area of the business. Also, I would not put investments, funding, etc into the name. There are some areas of the business where you do not want to sound like an investor. Mine is BBH LLC. Then I filed a fictieous name for Brenda Buys Houses and for Best Bet Housing Solutions. I can make the BBH stand for just about anything I want, depending on my motivation.

  James,
  I am also a rehab investor. Don't do much with foreclosures in my market.
  However, I would suggest that you take a step back and view your business as a separate entity, represented by the name, for the long term.
  In other words consider the directions that you may take the business in the future and come up with a name that will allow you to grow within it, regardless of your focus now.

  Maybe you can include the name of a suburb or town in your company name, my company name is FairFieldHomeBuyers cause I used to live in the fairfield area and homebuyers just comes naturally. just jot down in one column (your close area names) and in the second column write the differnt ways you can be described as a homebuyer, then go through and see whats the best and shortest sounding company name then.
