Is It Me Or The Title Company Who Is Confused?

OCSupertones profile photo

I called and was trying to get Out of town owners, landlords, foreclosures, etc. in a list.

I said this:

ME: Hello, my name is Brandon and I was wondering if you deal with investors who do multiple closings per year.

TITLE REP: What?

ME: I was wondering if you deal with investors who do multiple closings per year.

TITLE REP: I guess I dont understand the question, hold on. (transfering my call)

TITLE REP 2: Can i help you?

ME: (repeat my first statement)

TITLE REP 2: I don't think i understand.

ME: Can you sell me title insurance?

TITLE REP2: yes i can, where is the property located?

ME: It will actually be for future property, I am trying to find a Title company that i can be comfortable working with.

TITLE REP2: Ok.

ME: Do you have any other services you can provide for investors like me?

TITLE REP2: huh?

ME: Out of town owners lists, landlord lists, foreclosure lists?

TITLE REP2: hold on (transfer again)

TITLE REP3: can i help you?

and it keeps going on and on and on.

Am i confused or confusing?

Is there a better way to go about this?

Thanks,

Brandon

I was a little confused by your questions as well. I couldn't tell what you were looking. I know here in Michigan, title companies don't have that kind of information. You may want to ask if they supply marketing lists for investors that do business with them. Or ask them if they have a marketing department. I don't think the title insurance question helped. Keep at it. It took me awhile before I found one that understood what I was talking about.

Call about 25 title companies till you get one that works...I have received that response plenty of times until I found a new title company.
