Investor Seeking Opportunity In So. Cal.
I have $100k equity from a line of credit on my home that I want to invest. I would like to get hooked up with investors who are currently involved with buying from foreclosure auctions. I am having a hard time locating such groups. I went to an investor club meeting but all I saw there was investors who are starting out and appear to be cash starved and in search of 0-down type deals. I am located in Southern California and would prefer to do all my business locally. I was thinking of just mailing out a letter to a couple agents and see the response and who they might be dealing with.
I looked in the local paper and in the past few months I only found a few ads pertaining to what I have in mind. One turned out to be a scam. If you Google “High Park Investment Group” you will see what I mean. Which brings me to my second point; I will have a lawyer present throughout the whole process. I am not educated enough to know if someone is pulling the wool over my eyes.
Unfortunately the phone book does not have listings under the heading “Real Estate Investing,” so I guess I have to be creative. What do you recommend?
