Inspections?
Recenctly in speaking with an inspector he suggested it would be wise to have an inspection on auctioned house once we have poccession. Thought it might be a good idea to find any hidden problems we would not normaly see. Also he told us that an inspection might help verify any excessive damage repairs and might give us recourse to pursue reinbursement from bank. Has anyone ever tried this or is it just bogus talk to get us to pay for an inspection?

I never used to like inspections and just figured on fixing things as they come. But for $250 give or take it is an awfully nice list to have and will probably save you the fee in the long run.
