How To Call Attorney Or Law Office For Update

jessica919 profile photo

I was once told that it is possible to call the office of the attorney listed on the Lis Pendens and get an update on whether or not the property was still going to auction.

Has anyone been successful in getting a "case is on" "case is closed" over the phone?

Please don't tell me it is impossible -- nothing is impossible. I'm only looking for the positive responses on how to get what I'm looking for cool grin

Thanks.

Jessica

I know several investors who have done that. The only problem they all ran into was the fact the attorney would not reduce their fees. Mostly because they knew they were VERY interested in the property.

    Hope that's good news!!!!!!

I call all the time. In fact, the folks in the one attorney office that handles most of the foreclosure sales for this county are very helpful... I can call the day before or the morning of the sale and they'll even tell me what the opening bid is going to be...
I guess they work for the bank and are happy to provide any information that would help a potential buyer. That's how it works in my county and state... I hope yours is the same.

When I call, I just give them the county where the sale is going to be and then the property address. Good luck
