In New York how soon before the day of the "auction" can i purchase directly from the owner?

Ownership is gone once the auction begins. In some places it is gone 1 hour before.

hi find the homeowners in PRE foreclosure. talk to them to see what they want and if there is a deal. so the best way is in preforeclosure, the day before the auction the sale must be postponed/extended but you better have a buyer ready. amynewbie
