Government Seized Property....
Hi all,
I am interested in a piece of property that was under Rehab last year, but for the past 8 months it has sat dormant. It was listed for sale early last year, but nothing came of it. I finally went down to city hall to inquire about the owner and his/her address. I was told that the property was seized by the governmemt last summer due to owner being a drug dealer.
My question is: How do I, or is it even possible, to buy this property "before" they sell it at a public auction, which is what I assume will happen...???
Do I send a letter to the Justice Dept US Marshals Service, which is listed as the current owner at city hall?
Any help an/or guidance would be greatly appreciated!!!
