Get Started?

tlombardo profile photo

Hi! I'm in a little different position and want to get started. I'm a female. I actually have some cash available, I have very good credit (rating about 800) and though I work full time, I have a lot of downtime during the day. I just read Investing in Fixer Uppers and feel inspired - but not quite ready. What course should I buy/take next to get going?? Any advice to get a woman started?? I can hardly wait!

    tlombardo,

    Welcome to TCI!

There are quite a few good courses here on TCI, but it depends on what area of REI you want to pursue. Do you want to deal with homeowner's facing foreclosure who can be in complete denial until the very end? Do you want to buy fixer uppers? How much time do you have to dedicate to this business?

You should familarize yourself with this forum and the investors who answer questions on here. Some of the channel partners who offer products are also on here answering questions for newbies. There's a great deal of FREE information on this forum. You should stick around and read as much as you can.

Thanks Tanya. I'm so new here that I didn't even see all of the forums before. I'm reading thru, and my head is spinning. I'm very interested in your story. Do you do buy/rent/sell real estate or are you on the financial side?

I buy and sell real estate. My main focus is in preforeclosures, but I'm learning the subject-to way.
