Finding REO Listings?

emerson11 profile photo

Greetings,

I'm gearing up for my forray into REI, and I'm considering starting with REOs. Any suggestions on how to find out what is available in my area? I'm in St. Louis, MO (county). I've found one or two realtors via Google, but it seems like there must be some other ways to find info. Thanks--

you can look for the websites of specific lenders, and some of these will list their properties for sale in your area. Also, be sure to check the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac websites, as these properties can offer good buys. Otherwise, you could attend the Foreclosre Sales in your area, and that way you would be ontop of every new REO.

    Thanks guitarbrad,

(I'm a guitar man myself!) I'm going to the auctions now, but they have them everyday in St. Louis county, and I can only get there one day a week with my 9 to 5. I'll be sure to check the Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae sites; good suggestions.

Go to the following web site ****Must Reach Freshman Investor status before posting URL's***, and click on your chosen state. These are HUD foreclosures. Then call your Realtor.
