Do Agents Have An Advantage?

tahuti profile photo

I am looking to start investing in real estate. I am taking a class at a community college on real estate fundamentals. I feel it is very helpful.

After this class I could take the state exam and become an agent. Does anyone have an opinion on if becoming an Agent/Broker would help me with investing.?

(i.e. having direct contact with other agents & brokers, being able to make your own deals, finding out about available foreclosed properties quicker)

TIA

This question comes up frequently here. Seems to be split opinion. I feel you'll get valuable education that you can use in your investing. You don't necessarily have to use your RE license, or even take the exam.

I feel the more informationyou have available to you the better. I would go for it, you will always have something to go back to. I know many R.A. that are R.E. I.'s.

    Good Luck
