Courthouse Sale
Can please someone tell me in steps how to purchase property in courthouse. Do I need to have cash on hands? Where do I get information on whatever is on sale? We have one income property, but not much experience in this area yet. And of course, I will go to the courthouse to learn everything firsthand. But if you give me steps to follow it would be appriciated.
Yes go to the court house. They should have a newspaper that list the upcoming sales in your area. Ask one of the clerks in the foreclosure department where the have the court cases. In Chicago they call it "The Law Bulletin" I'm not from your area, but if the sales are the same, you will need 10% down and the balance in 24 hours. Here in Chicago they are asking for 100% on some of the properties now. Good Luck
