Buying Used Guru Courses And Mentors?

srj19 profile photo

I'm considering picking up a used course or two, probably on ebay. There's a few things I am looking for advice on. Are general experiences buying these on Ebay, good for the most part? It's tough to know if you're buying the most current version. Legrand's site for example shows no photos of his courses.

So I'm a beginner, from what I gather:
-Legrand is good on just about everything
-Bronchick is also good with an emphasis on the Legal
-Alexis McGee is great on forclosures
-Conti and Finkel also seem to know their stuff

Anyone have comments on who is tops for what topics?

Any standouts in the mentors for hire catagory?

I've bought and sold on Ebay for years. When you buy anything on Ebay, read the fine print, look at the photos, make sure you're getting the complete course (if that's what you want) and nothing's missing. If there isn't evidence it's the newest version, it likely isn't; it's commonly obcured. But older stuff sells cheaper too, and the new stuff sometimes is the same material in a new wrapper. Ask the seller questions about anything that isn't clear. Don't assume a good rating is enough; any rating below 98% (if they have lots of raters anyway; anyone can mess up a time or two early on) is reason for concern, as buyers generally don't complain much.
