Any Recommendations For Foreclosure Lists?

InActive_Account profile photo

I was at the county courthouse for the 4th time today just to watch how things work, and low and behold, a house actually went up for auction.

But I noticed that a buyer had a foreclosure list that included the phone numbers to call to see if the house was going to auction that day. Do all of the online foreclosure list have this kind of information? Are any more accurate or have more details than the others?

Thanks,

Robert

I know of a couple pay services.

One which is regional to Sanata Clara Cty. The other I believe they have nationwide coverage.

PM me if you'ld like the name.

There is a well respected foreclosure specialist in the Sacramento area that provides a good current list. They also provide valuable education for all facets of the foreclosure business. PM me and I'll be happy to give you the website. Good Luck.

If you're looking for information specific to El Dorado county you can look up legal notices in a newspaper (The Mountain Democrat). The Trustee's Sale notice publishes the Trustee name, address, and telephone info shortly prior to auction (about 21 days). If you're going to bid at auction, you'll want to check with the trustee the day before the sale to see if it has been postponed. Check out some legal notices online for free in your county at http://www.mtdemocrat.com/classifieds/index.inn?loc=detail&main=Public%20Notices .

If you want to buy a regular list, you'll want to find out if the data is researched and collected by hand, or if it is scanned electronically. Hand collected data is always best, but usually costs more. I'm aware of the website the other posters are alluding to and they do the hand collecting method...even in El Dorado county. Their list also contains the trustee contact information as well. I guess to answer your question, not all services are the same, and there are a few that stand out above all the rest.

    Wannabe21,

Yeah, I've been reading the Mt. Democrat for some of the postings, but since most of the sales are postponed, and I only go to find other investors, not to buy, I was hoping for an easy way to find out what days auctions were actually happening. I guess, I should right down the phone number out of the paper??? Duh.

    Thanks,

    Robert
