    This deal is dead at this time. The sellers backed out, which really irked me.

    Realizing that this is a dead deal, it is still good learning material. One question is this... the few tenants paying 144k month total... would they have been good candidates to approach for the required capital? I mean they would still perhaps have to pay for their leases to keep the property cashflowing, but would they not also now benefit from fractional ownership and the ability to get some kind of favorable tax benefits in addition to paying themselves a portion of their rent in the form of profits?

    Just a thought... dont know if it would work, but interested to see if there is anything to it.

    I sent you an PM, but basically I am a real estate agent in the Dominican Republic, and a former commercial mortgage broker from Florida who has kind of semi retired here. I have lots of good deals for investors here, but if you need help with a deal like this, get with me. I am working with a few investment groups out of the US who have cash and are buying here.
