Serious Credit Report Problem

I am hoping that someone will at least have some advice. My boyfriend's credit report has LOTS of incorrect information on it. it lists addresses he has never lived at and shows him currently working and living at a place neither of us has ever heard of though it is in our state. We have before sent letters to have stuff removed but it never is. I am guessing that someone is using his ssn and that is why nothing can be removed cuz when they check it is "accurate". His name is michael smith and of course I realize that is a common name but truly is his name. Should I call this place that says he works there and confirm if this person is indeed using his ssn? and how do you go about proving that it is not his credit information? much less stop them from doing it over and over again?

I would definately call the place where he is supposed to work. Call all the places where he supposedly has credit. You either have a crook on your hands or someone has made a mistake. I feel like it is more likely a thief. Good Luck.

    Hello.

I'd check out creditboards.com there's tons of good information all over those boards specific to credit reporting agencies and how to fix bad info on the reports.

    Good Luck.
