Motion To Vacate Default Judgement
How difficult is it to file a motion to vacate a default judgement.Do I need an attorny of can I do it my self. Some one told me I can do it my self. An atty is trying to charge me $1500. Help with suggestions or comments pls.
Well the motion itself is not all that difficult. But you then need to answer or otherwise plead to the original matter. Most jurisdictions have some period of time in which the motion to vacate must be filed (in Illinois 28 days).
This judgement is in NY I dont know the amount of days giving to www.vacate.It was filled in 2000 so it is pretty old. What can I do. Should I just give up and pay or fight. It was served improperly.
