ING DIRECT

Was wondering if anyone has used ING Direct bank for a mortgage purchase/refinance in the past or recently? I had a savings account with them a few years back when interest rates on savings were at 7% with them and they just mailed me an offer on a mortgage with pretty low rates and $555 in closing costs. No Points, no fees...flat $555..anyone have any experience with them?

if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. In mortgages you pay for what you get, basically.

I funded 6 loans through ING Direct (wholesale) in January, and would recommend them to anyone. They do not offer interest-only loans, but all borrowers over 700 Fico are automatic SISA (stated income stated assets) as long as they are W-2 employed.

Great rates, easy underwriting, low fees. I use them all day long.
