Free Credit Report
Hopefully someone out there can help me. Where would I go online for a truly free credit report?....one that isn't requiring a credit card that comes with the old 30 day free credit monitoring service...cancel anytime or be charged $79.95 at the end of one month kind of website. I only seem to find the kind that requires giving a credit card number in order to get the "free" report. There must be someplace out there that will provide a truly free report without requiring the card. Thanks in advance for any help.
My understanding is that if you have been turned down for credit in any way shape or form then the 3 credit agencies will send you a report for free.
why not go to the bank or find a nice broker who will pull your credit? tell them you want a loan and you haven't seen your credit report lately.
Are you suggesting to lie to a lender or broker to get a free credit report? That is not a good thing to do. It does cost to pull credit report, you know. we are a mortgage broker. Before pulling any credit report, we asked a lot of personal, property, and financial questions, and of course, authorization to pull a credit report for the purpose to obtain a mortgage loan. Once the credit report is pulled, it becomes application, and we have to keep record of every thing for the application for three years. Do you still want to talke to a lender or broker to just get a free credit report??

You can write to the 3 credit bureaus and req a free credit report once per year. You don't have to apply for credit and been turn down to be able to get a free report.
