credit report question

Suppose someone has 5 school loans. 3 were deferred. 2 were deliquent. The 2 that are deliquent are showing up on the credit and is affecting the score. Suppose the person has a letter from the (school loan) saying that 2 bad ones are deferred too. Once that clears up, should their score go up??

    Verne:

    Can you define "Deferred" ?

Do you mean payment is not to start yet on that particular loan, however, because the loan is prematurely billing, the borrower's non-payment are incorrectly showing as derogatory remarks on the credit report?

If that is the case, the change in credit score can only occur if the specific credit bureau is contacted where the error is showing, the bureau accepts the the explanation and corrects the error on the borrower's report.

Each bureau must be contacted where the loan is showing derogatory due to that error.

    Hope this helps.
