Capital One 4.99% Fixed For Life On Transfers !
Has anybody received one of these solicitations in the mail. I am thinking about applying for the card so i can transfer my HELOC but feel unsure about this as i am not sure how it may affect my credit or apply for conventional loans. I have two HELOC'S with a balance of $60,000 and the interest rate has gone to 7.25%. any advice you can give would be appreciated. thanks.

Citibank also has a zero fixed for the life of the loan. I think the card companies lay in wait for you to forget a payment (or have the post offfice lose it) and then increase the rate to 24.99%.
Then yer in trouble...
