Are Discover Cards Easier To Get?

I am looking for a card to help rebuild my credit and also transfer some of my balances on higher cards to it, to take advantage of low intro rates. I was told that Discover cards are easier to get than the big three(visa, mc, or amex) Do any of you know if there is any truth to this. Or should i look into a gas card or store card to help me rebuild? I am basically trying to re-establish my credit.
Any suggestions, on this topic are appreciated.

    If you are rebuilding credit look into secured credit cards.

    another good place to go is any best buy, circut city type of store
