What's A Tree Worth?
Hey all,
Anyone have an idea of what one can expect to earn from logging (clearing out for development) 100 arces of wood grounds? There are some old and tall straight trees that must come down! For you folks, like my wife , I plan on maintaining as much natural beauty as I can with this clearing.
I just need a ball park figure as this money will be used to for improvements, ie..a road.
Property is located in the lower Catskills of NY.
Depends on the trees my friend. If you have a lot of sought after hardwoods you could actually make some good money. On the other hand if you have crap like pine trees you wont get nothing.

Mom used to make me rake those stupid needles off the ground all the time, would get the sap on my clothes, hair.

There are no pine trees on the property in question. Most all the trees are long , straight hard wood and of the variety I believe would be of use to a logger.
