NRLL

I received an unsolicited letter from NRLL asking if I wanted to sell a 4.5 acre lot in an established subdivision in St. Charles county, MO. I responded with a telephone call that I might be interested and asked for an offer. I received a response by mail for $15,000. I paid $33,000 ten years ago and the property values have skyrocketed since then ... 3.5 acre lots are going for $125,000. I wrote back and said NRLL was not up to date on land prices in the local area and my property was worth $150,000. I then received a letter about a week later with a cash offer of $150,000.

Is this legitimate? How can a company be so "easy" to up a lowball bid? Replies and opinions welcome.

The only way to find out is to go into contract with them. Make sure you control who handles the closing and ask for a large non refundable deposit upfront.

I get a letter from them on various properties I own probably about once every 2 months. Fodder for the trash can for me thus far!
