some posters have asked for recommended real estate development books i haven't read a good response to the request for good books yet, so I decided to spend maybe 3 hours on amazon, builder's book store, and urban land institute here's the list of books I bought from half i think they were the best ones out of the maybe 30 - 50 i researched Real Estate Development (Hardcover, 2000) Gayle Berens, Marc A. Weiss, Mike E. Miles, Urban Land Institute Price: $40.00 Condition: Very Good Land Development (Paperback, 1994) D. Linda Kone Price: $18.95 Condition: Like New Multifamily Housing Development Handbook (Hardcover, 2000) Urban Land Institute Price: $62.16 Condition: Brand New Getting Financing & Developing Land (Paperback, 2000) Michael C. Thomsett Price: $27.96 Condition: Brand New hope this helps someone

I've read the Linda Kone book (Land Development). It was published by the National Assn of Homebuilders, so that's the audience she was writing for. I wouldn't recommend it if you are (or want to be a developer) but you are not a builder.
Thank you for your effort. I think amazon is a great place to buy books and the fact that you looked up a few is greatly appreciated. The world needs a few more people like you who are willing to put in the extra effort, despite that fact that you might not get much recognition.
