Get APN From Parcel And Tract?

Jimbezy profile photo

I was looking at some NOD's of raw land today and most of the truste's just list the Parcel and Tract #'s, but if I had the APN I would be able to look the property up off the Assessors Office website., otherwise I have to go down town to find where the property is located. So does any body know how to decifer the APN from the parcel and tract #'s? The numbers dont seem to have anything in common, but I figured it would be worth a shot to ask.

Thanks for the help,
James

On every recorded document and an NOD is one. There is the Assessors numbers usual near the top right hand side. Most quick reference stuff goes close to the right hand side cause that is where a person viewing many deeds keeps his eyes glued. Also of course is the lot number, Tract number or name if it is an old one.

Good luck. Does www.Retran.net serve your area? They are the best all such info is complete on each of their reports plus all the TD's date of purchase etc. etc.

Well now I come to find that either the APN numbers on the NOD's are incorrect or the Assessors web site is incorrect, because the APN numbers I've be typing in are not going to the aproperiate parcel maps. I can also look up the information if I have an address or ATN. But I guess for the utmost accuracy I should go down to the Assessors office myself and look them up, or at least get some pointers from the people down there, because Im all most certian they will just tell me to use the computers witch at the hall of records is the same thing they have on the internet.
Retran doesnt serve Kern County, but I use a local legal newspaper here that has a website called The Daily Report, they are fairly acurate, but some of the truste's must be lazy because they skip a lot of the information some times leaving you with not much to work with. But who said making money was easy?

    Thanks as always,
    James
