Established Builders

Hello,

I was curious if any of you established builders provide your clients with a homeowners manual? If so, do you receive positive feedback from this? I'm trying to decide if it is worth the time and effort or if it will just become paper to start a fire with grin

    Manual, no......manufactures warranties, yes.

I also provide my clients with a POC list (point of contact of subs) with telephone numbers etc....and advise them to only contact me AFTER they have contacted the POC about what ever issue they have. I advise my subs not to argue with any of my clients but bring matters of dispute directly to me.

I also provide them with a 3 page document that goes over some of the basics in home care........change filters, wax cabinets, tile and wood floor care.....etc.

During a final walk through I will show them how to operate windows (taking out the sashes and reinstalling them), appliances, hvac/ ac system, show them the emengency water cut offs and go over the breakers and gfi circuits with them. I also advise them about hot water temperature and how to set it.

I explain what they can expect from me and what I expect from them. I come back every 3 months for one year to resolve small call back issues.
