Cost Of Demolition?

Is there a general rule or figure for residential demolition? The property in question is about a hundred years old, timber construction, your basic old falling down house.

Seek a local quote in your area and pump them for all the info you can get....

Then use that as your base rule.....

Now if the deal goes thru...find "joe do it all" to do it......signed contract of course and make sure local codes allow...

    Hi Jeff,

I was born, lived and built in Cincy until 83, too cold for my blood....moved south. lol

Check with companies or builders that reclaim some of the building products in older homes. Cincy has some nice historical building and architecture.

You may be surprised what you may have.

    Good luck........

You may also need a demolition permit in your area. Check with local building officials. I owuld also get several quotes for the demolition and would also make sure those folks are licensed and bonded to do so. v/r eric

Also check with house moving companies. They may take the house off of your hands for free. I Just bought a house from the owner for $1000 and am moving to a lot that my father-in-law owns for a profit of $3000 just for handling the whole deal.
