Who Uses A 1800 Number Anyway?

Here in hickville this is not that useful, however after following an active thread earlier this month I have begun to see how a 1800 service with mailboxes etc could be useful to an investor.

If your using one currently share how your service works and the advantages/disadvantages that you come across... smile

    Randall,
I have an 800 number for one of my corporations. I have it through AT&T, it can be sent t any line I want.
    Example:
    1) cell phone
    2) house phone
    3) work line

It is verifiable through the 800 directory. It cost me $29.00 a month plus long distance or local charges.

Here in Mass, the people like to see a local phonenumber, this way they don't think they are working with a huge firm, or someone half way accross the world.

I don't currently have an 800# but I can see where they would be useful. My wife and I own a small construction company and we have a website. We just received a call from a couple from WV this week and they will be in town tomorrow to meet with us. While they did call our local # here in MI it would have been a convenience for them had we had an 800#. I guess it's just a matter of customer service perhaps. They could have easily called others in the area though with 800#'s....so who knows.....hmmm...all that and I still don't have a point*LOL*

Good on your for using the net. I always look there first.
I was thinking that haveing a 800 would be good because people could dial up and listen to information that would move them from virtual room to virtual room (prequalifying them for a CRE transaction) and then get me their number. Additionally these services capture all numbers even the unlisted ones so you can call back.
