Read everything you can get your grubby little hands on. Once you've done that, define the area that you like the most and read everything you can find on that subject. This forum is a great place to start. Check for people in your part of the country and ask if you can call them to ask for advice or leads. Ask then all those question that you don't have answers to. See if they will take your hand and help you get going. Then, DO SOMETHING!!! Get started! Practice writing letters and run them by some one you trust (Preferibly a woman, because they have a special insight and can weed out the snakes). No one will want to work with you if you're not doin' anything.
Read books. It's been said that those who read, lead and those who lead, read. A good book to start with is "Rich Dad; Poor Dad". Don't by it at first. Get it from the library. This way, you will be forced to read it because you need to return it. Besides that; we're in the business of making our money work for us, and there's no since in buying something if you can get it for free (you'll understand that after you read the book). Always have a book to read. Romance novels and the sports magizines don't count. Read something that is going to first help you and your family grow, then improve your business.

I'm just getting serious about the business after waisting a year think about what I was gonna do. The best advice I can give you is do something!!! Anything!!!Make sure you are always learning, and growing, and teaching. These things keep you sharp. Remember: Like our founding fathers said, "All men (and Women) are created equal with certain enalienable rights..." If some one else can do it, there is no reason why you can't.
