Any information on mortgages (1sts, 2nds, 3rds, even on and on), other parties, any liens... there's always surprises out there. People want a clear title. Just what I've noticed so far. I've learned to search titles... I'm a little curious myself to hear what the big boys say.
For issues related only to title, in addition to liens, you'd also want to take note of anything that could impact use or development of the property. E.g., easements, leases, agreements, plans, deed restrictions & covenants, preferential or special assessments--in short, anything that is recorded against the property or is referred to in the deed.
