Do I need a License to buy and sell rehab property for myself, or only to represent someone else?

I would expect more optimism from a "Cub Fan".

    fiatx199,

what part of Lansing are you in? i lived there when i was 5 yrs old and visit once in a blue moon, my dad still lives there... he is in South Lansing... i believe??

nice place though. but i love the east coast. Go Pats!! reigning champs!!

even though i live in Lose-iladelphia. no skin off my nose, but a good game

flatx199 - an easier and less time consuming way is to just run comps on the house or have a realtor preferably one you know who can do it quick. or if you can, subscribe to m.l.s. plus its alot cheaper especially if the banks not willing to negotiate/accept after you have already had an appraisal done. this way you dont waste alot of cash and time. 4 deals in six weeks huh? good for you.

projctmgmnt23 - your best source of info is right here on this site. read the short sale forum and other forums to learn all you can, you could spend days, nights, months just on this site learning. i know i did.

for courses check ebay its the best place to get a deal on a begginers course. for short sales check jeff kaller i think hes the best. there are also great course in the product section of this website. check em out.

    Zin,

I appreciate your help. I am just surfing through site now. Seeing all that it has to offer. The lenders section alone is valuable. I will check E-Bay as well. Have started amassing book collection but really trying to find more of a cookbook type offering, so off to the trenches to search.

Again Thank you very much. I hope to aid others when I have some valuable information.

    you welcome!

this is the best cookbook you will find. there is more variety of realestate topics then anywhere else i have seen. with alot of people who are out in the real word doing it. so after you have a general knowledge of what you want to do, u can ask questions on the specifics and get the right answers and there all free.

    enjoy

I live on the west end of Lansing just outside of Grand Ledge.

I do my own comps, I apologize, I did leave that out. I used to do appraisals for a living. Now to close my deals I still have to have an approved appraisal to submit to my lenders.
