Hi,
I'm trying to get started birddogging. But, I'm considering getting licensed as well. I live in GA, and I want to get a software or online traning course to take my exam. Any recommended or non-recommended courses? the one i'm looking at now is by the GA MLS. it looks pretty good.

Is an on-line course for the 30 hours even allowed in Georgia? I just got my RE sales license a few months back and here in Mass you have no choice but to take your required 30 hours of class from a school approved by the state otherwise you won't be allowed to book or sit for the exam. I think it cost me $245 for the class which was done over 3 days (Fri,Sat,Sun) to speed things up.

Here in Maryland a lot of the Real Estate Companies offer courses to prepare you to take the Real Estate agent's test for practically nothing in hopes you will become an agent for them, but you are not obligated to. i took it just to be better informed and with it made some good contacts. grin

Here in WA you have to take 60 hours of education before they will allow you to take the exam.

I took it at a local community college....never got my license though.

Here at NJ you need 75 hours. I am planning to take it just for the knowledge.

Yes, in GA you can take 75 hour prelicense courses online or via software programs. Then you're a licensed salesperson and within 1 year, need to take antoher 25 hours of something.
