Question About Finding Vacancy Rates

Can anyone tell me where I can find out what the vacancy rates are? I know I could probably get them from a real estate agent, but is there another way to get the info? Would appreciate any information.

I too would like a quick resource for these stats for region by region.

Vacancy Rates, Rental Rates, How long property is staying on the market...

I have successfully located vacancy rates using an on-line search engine. You may have to get creative with you keywords, though I have been lucky at times and located local newspaper articles, magazine articles etc. regarding the vacancy rates. Local realtors can also help, just make sure you speak with at least three. You can easily do this via email, locate and converse with someone that knows the local market.

There is also some great information through the census bureau that I somehow stumbled upon with a few different cities. Vacancy rates, average household income etc. You can also find the price range that the most homes are selling in. Just try a few different keywords in your search.

The most important thing to remember is that YOU must do your due dillegence. Do not rely on others to locate accurate information, rely on yourself.

    Take care,
