Ok, Read To Go But Need Suggestions...

Hi,

I've been reading for several months now regarding different styles of investing. I'm ready (oh so ready) to take action but feel unprepared with regards to paperwork and setting myself up (structure-ie. LLC, corp, etc.).

I've been looking into mentoring because I feel it might help me get started quicker and possibly avoid a few mistakes. However, most here suggest that I do it myself and ask for help on the forum or at local REI groups.

I'm having trouble obtaining knowledge about the above mentioned items. Are there any resourses that someone could suggest to help me initially to get started?

    Hello Viking777,
There are so many different approaches to real estate investing that it would almost be next to impossible to make the the things that I do work best for you. The sound parts of investing that all of us must adhere to; 1. that is good record keeping, cash reserves, not putting off for tomorrow things that have to be done today, and lastly being able to find hidden value property.
Well Viking777, does that tell you anything more than what you knew about REI than you knew before. All I can tell you is this, learn as much as you can, start with no more than you can afford to lose, get your head bumpped a few times (that will get you over the gitters and you will learn not to make that mistake again).
But that is the short of the matter, just do it.[ Edited by Vern on Date 03/29/2004 ]
