Are there any REI clubs around the Jacksonville NC area. I just relocated to Hubert NC from New Hampshire and would like to interact with local RE investors.

There is one in Wilmington about 50 minutes south of Jacksonville. The website is ****Must participate a while before posting URL's*** they meet once a month on the first Tuesday of the month.

I live in Holly Ridge NC just south of Jacksonville. I own several local properties and can probably answer questions reasonably well. I also attend the RIA in Wilmington. Do a search on google and you will find it easy enough. What brought you to Hubert?
Well the Jacksonville area is both good and bad. It is good because of the military supplying a good supply of renters with steady paychecks. It is bad because while prices continue to go steadily up rents lag significantly behind because of the BAH. I have found that properties that rent for under 600 are in demand while nice single family houses that rent for 700-750 sit for a while, depending on deployments of course. I have a house for rent now that I put on the market the same week CL sent 15000 marines to Iraq. Needless to say that put a hamper on the demand for rentals. I have also found that multi unit props go for a premium (if you can find one).
