Hi there,

I recently purchased the Carleton Sheets No Money Down package and have just read the book "Rich Dad Poor Dad".

The problem I'm having is actually finding rental property listings to consider investing in.

Does anyone know where to start finding properties online? The newspaper is worthless.

    From what I have began to figure out, NYC is very much an all-cash game the big boys play. I'm helping a homeowner in queens on a property and literally have people wanting to fly me out there from Iowa so they can buy the property. I think it's all big talk but I do have a property for sale at 10% under market value.

    I'm from Long Island too, there's a whole thread on the NY market saturation somewhere on this.

    I buy upstate, like central NY, and some queens, although its not that cheap.

    Buy in Jersey. If you leave in the cit, NJ is closer then LI and prices are better.

    huntington start in huntington iv done very well here. long island foreclosure rate is second only to westchester. nothing like a home cooked meal i started out passing deals to investor friend for a very small fee.boring!!!!!!! had dinner with a guy last night who has a line of credit of 4million he said your life has just changed as you know it

    There are a gazillion deals to be done on Long Island. When I was there a few years ago in Riverhead, Coram, Ronkonkoma etc I found there were deals to be done everywhere.

    All it takes is a little networking and getting the word out that you are there to help and you will be surprised how things happen.

    Hi there- You all CREI in Long Island? I have been birddogging in LI and upstate NY for a little while now. Any advice for a newbie? What is the fee normally paid for LI leads? I have been offered anywhere from $500-$5,000...any advice would help. Also, is there anyway to find preforclosures for this area without going to the county clerk's office?

    I'm a newbie myself that's done a lot of research on the NY market. I've found a site that I plan to use to scout out preforeclosures without going to the county clerk - I don't have the time. The site is ****Must Reach Freshman Investor status before posting URL's***. Good luck!!

    Long Island is one of the toughest markets in the US to find good deals on property. Houses are priced way too high to make any real money on them. I own 15 houses all north of Albany and I live on Long Island. BTW all 15 are in the black. What I would suggest is you look elsewhere and get more bang for your buck..
