has anyone ever hear about this cash reward program. it is listed on the internet . it is a company called 'we buy houses, inc. they are a group of REI who area looking for houses all over the world. i guess u could call it bird dogging, u go out in your area and find houses that are for rent or sale by owners. u then fax your list over and if the lead goes through they pay u. it states on the website that u could make really good money and they also ask for your ss# because if u go over $600 in a year they will send u a 1099. is this legal or not. your promptness is appreciated. :-o

These are just real estate investors looking for bird dogs to locate good deal properties for them. If you have no cash or unable to get financing, , this is a good way to start in real estate by bird dogging but it will require an investment in advertising and networking to locate these deals. If you can locate these properties and motivated sellers, , it would be a shame if you cannot buy them yourself but there are many investors in your local area who will buy them too. Look in Real esate wanted ads in your newspaper.

I am thinking if you could get those properties under contract for 60-65% fmv or arv then you could probably make more by marketing the deals yourself to someone on this website.

Please DON'T give out your SSN. Try to work a deal with them first based on an agreement with you.

Whenever there is a legit reason for a company to have your social security number never just give them the number. Instead submit a W-9 form. In the instructions for the form it spells out that if the requestor misuses the number they can be liable for penalties and damages. Plus you keep a copy and if you have any problems you have a record of who has your number.

PLEASE DO NOT give your ssn to anyone outside of a major (verifiable) employer. If they are frauds, a W9 will not eliminate all you will have to go through if you become a victim of ID theft. /Simple mistakes are hard enough to correct on a credit report with proof, you certainly don't want to deal with ID theft.

Since you've found the props, do what the previous post suggests and get them under contract & assign it to an investor in your area if you cannot close. Find a good mortgage broker if you think you can close the deal yourself. With all the loan programs out there you should be able to find something to suit you based on your credit, income, etc..

becareful, if it sounds to good to be true it is.

by the way once they have the info, what will obligate them to pay you.

if you do decide to try it only reveal one to them until a working relationship is established
