Moving To Rutherfordton NC
Is there anyone on here that invests in the western NC area and does it full time?
Would you be willing to share what exactly you invest in and how?
My wife and I are planning to move to the Rutherdfordton area this summer and want to get into the RE market there (investing) as a full time business, espically since there are none of those jobs in IT there.
We have excellent credit and 50 to 100K cash to invest with.

There may be a lot of wholesale/rehab opportunities in the smaller towns around you, such as Kings Mountain, Shelby, Bessemer City, even Gastonia.
I hear that Asheville is booming right now, so maybe you can find some preconstruction opportunities.
If you want to venture across the state line, there are a lot of bank REOs in the Greenville - Spartanburg SC areas.

In case you need a more geographic reference, Raleigh is just four miles outside of Cary.

We were looking to move around that area as well. Actually we have not found anything yet it just looks like Rutherfordton is the logical place as it is close to Charlotte (I am in network security ) for a day job and has land and views sorta cheap.
Still need to find a decent job before we make the move and I have been diligently looking for a job.
