Judicial method is a method of foreclosure in our fine state of Illinois. In plain terms it means that an action of foreclosure is required to be brought through the court system and strictly forbids any other methods(such as power of sale under deed of trust/mortgage, etc.). Don't confuse it with Judicial Sales Corporation - a private organization that is one of the main auctioneers of the foreclosed property in the Chicagoland area. Judicial Sales Corp along with Intercounty Sales conduct 95%+ of all the foreclosure auctions(at least in Lake County).
