How To Find Owner Of Vacant Property

riot8ap profile photo

I tried to lookup through Miami-Dade County Property Appraiser but they don't list the address...does this mean a bank owns it or something? Would a realtor know who it belongs to?
I would like to find out who owns this property...any ideas?

Thanks

Try sending him a letter and putting on it do not forward. Sometimes you will get the letter back with his new address label from the USPS. Also ask the neighbors, especially the older female ones.
Worse case scenario hire an agency.

    Good Luck,

Find out where the tax bill is mailed to. That will give you the owner. You can usually do this at the tax appraisor's office. You might be able to get them to give you the info over the phone.

Thanks for the replies, I contacted the tax collector and he gave me the folio number and the guys name. Apparently he owns 2 properties side-by-side so the # was diff.
I searched for 1525 Lake Ave
    Actual was 1525-45 Lake Ave.
It says 2003 taxes are paid but nobody lives there...least I can't tell. I am going to look for vacant property letters now thanks!

    riot8ap,

It's not unusual for a property to be listed in a database with an address that's either different altogether or stated differently (as you found out). That's why it's a good idea when researching a property to try using other search parameters, such as owner name, parcel #, etc. if one parameter doesn't "match."
