From what I am hearing from friends who have property in SLC that they are enjoying some appreciation like we have had here in CA. The market in Salt Lake City was pretty flat for a long time.[ Edited by edmeyer on Date 06/25/2007 ]

Thats correct. Between 1997 and 2004 the market saw almost zero appreciation.

I started investing in SLC in september-october 2004. Between summer of 2004 and 2005 and began liquidating my CA properties.

some of my earlier investments are up 50%. I did lose money in St George and Boise, but SLC has been very good to me.

I plan on keeping 3 homes there indefinitely.

It may be several years before I start investing the CA market again.

    have you thought about bird-dogging?

    gets you cash
    experience
    an opportunity to fix credit.

in hunting, a bird dog runs back and forth try to flush out the birds.

In RE the bird-dog runs around looking for good deals for the upstream people he works for.

to me there is no magic w/ the credit.

I used person CC to finance the 1st couple deals.

Now I have business LOC to help (albeit full recourse)

I think credit builder is a scam.

I have seen posting on www.credtboards.com that said what business card reported to what agency, so you could build your own.
