I am new to the investments side of real estate and would like to know how I would go about finding hard money lenders.

Would I look in the paper to find local investments?

I am getting ready to close on my first hard money loan. I am being charged $1100 for harzard insurance and this is charged for every deal. Can I take out a policy myself to advoid this ? :-?

Anthony, thanks for joining my club and I wll send you some info on that lakefront houses in Whitney.
There are two other good clubs in DFW, Aireo (sp?) and DFWREIN. The first has some excellent free resources and they both have regular monthly meetings and training seminars for beginners.
