First Time Home Buyer Needs Advice
Greetings. My wife and I have not bought a home yet . We live with her parents in the finished basement. We both work and have saved over the last 3 years. I want to do REI but we have to get a house first. What would you do for a first house? Where would you go to look? Just get realtor and do the usual?

I would do FSBOs first to get a field for what you want in what areas. Then after a couple of weeks, you will feel much smarter if you need to deal with agent. If you are first time buyer, do expect the agent to play little games with you. Such as taking you to a crappy area and say "this is what you get for $100K" the after you disappointing look, she will say " well, if you up your price to $120, maybe I can show better homes in better areas". So do your homework first, and know what areas and price range you can work with,
