Im getting ready to close one my first rental ****Must participate a while before posting URL's***ve never been a lanlord before. Is thier any licenses that i need to get or legal issues i should explore before i rent. have got about a month of rehab to do before thay will be ready to rent. so will have some time. thanks for any advice ahead of time. just stumbled on to this site a few days ago, its been a god send of information!
Landlord-tenant relations are state and locality specific, so your best bet for free info is to search on-line for the state and municipality you are doing business in. Other free resources include any local real estate investment clubs and the local real estate board. A good real estate attorney will cost you, but is worth it.
