Getting rid of a RE agent in some states is not legal until the term of the listing is up. The seller may also opt to drop the listing...but you would have to know the seller.
The best way to find a good realtor is to know someone who you trust and has had a good experience with realtors. That realtor in turn can do a referral for you. Usually those referrals are to realtor with similar attributes....ie doing nothing down offers.
