Book On Negotiation
Can anyone recommend a good book or material on negotiation? Preferably something that has real estate in mind?
Also if anyone has a good recommendation on where to get good info on how to read people and body language it would be a great help.

Try Trump's "Art of the Deal" I just started it and it is proving to be very helpful.
I took a class in college called group dynamics. I found it extremely helpful though I started off looking for the easiest elective. I haven't read the text book in years, I'll see if I can dig it up for you.
I can't say the reading is what helped, it was the actual class participation.

You need to go out and buy Herbert Cohens books called "Negotiate this" or "You can negotiate anything"
He is an excellent author, especially good in audio cd format.

BTW if I had to choose between most RE books and learning more about negotiating, I'd read the negotiating book.

There are several books on negotiating by Chester Karrass that are good and very entertaining. He runs (or used to run) seminars in negotiating and has a negotiations institute at UCLA. There are very good tapes that were available (possibly still are). I have recently seen ads for his material in airline magazines, so he or his successors are still in business.[ Edited by edmeyer on Date 12/08/2004 ]

Thanks everyone. I got my hands on a copy of Negotiate This! By Herb Cohen last night and so far it’s a great read.
