Maybe this has been asked here before, but how do I get a listing of foreclosures or Bank REO's? What do I ask for at the bank or financial inst.? smile

Go to the bank and ask if thet have a short sales department and just be persistent until you get what you want . let them know that you might be able to help them if you help me.

It may be as simple as checking the bank's website. I often find a link to "Available Properties" on a bank web site.

Yeah, it really depends on the bank, but call up and ask for their foreclosure or loss mitigation department. Tell them you are looking to purchase a few of their properties and can do it very quickly. Ask if they have a list of properties you can get sent to you and who should you be speaking with about purchasing these properties.

    Should work,

I have gotten partial lists from real estate agents. In areas where there are many REOs there are some very good deals even when an RE agent is getting some commission.
