ESOP For Commercial Investing?
Does anyone know if it would be possible for a group of commercial real estate professionals to borrow funds for the purchase of commercial properties and set it up as an ESOP with the partners being the employees of the company?
Of course it would, that scenario happens all the time when going public with a C corporation. You will have to check with the lenders to see what they will allow given the sourcing and seasoning issues, but it has been done before.
